I propose the same as you (I suspect). Please confirm from my
explanation below.
 
I propose using the same system for latitude as we use in longitude.
Using parallel circles in latitude makes each circle cover a diferent
dimensional area. If we use angular mesurement in latitude as we do in
longitude, we can have aproximately equal dimensions for equivalent
distances (considering a small difference because the Earth is fatter on
the Equator than on the poles).In longitude we use Grenwich as
reference and the poles as axises. In latitude we should use Equator as
a reference and some place like Cayambe volcano as one of the axises.
(Is axixes the plural of axis?)

I think we should involve the greatest number of people by using easy
information and communication technologies with federated servers.
