<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">General San Martín, de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina y contará</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">con la presencia de Richard Stallman, el padre del movimiento global de</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Software Libre y Jimmy Wales, el fundador de Wikipedia, entre otras</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">personalidades de la cultura libre. </FONT></TT><BR>

<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Esta conferencia será la quinta edición de Wikimanía, un evento global e</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">itinerante, que ya se realizó anteriormente en Frankfurt (Alemania),</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Boston (EEUU), Taipei (Taiwan) y Alejandría (Egipto). Por primera vez,</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Wikimanía será bilingüe inglés / español y será la primera ocasión en</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">que se realice en un país de habla hispana. En el año 2010, la 6ta.</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Edición de Wikimanía se realizará en Gdansk, Polonia. </FONT></TT><BR>
<BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Este es un evento trascendental para el mundo de la cultura libre y la</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">construcción colaborativa de conocimiento, ya que es la reunión que</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">sirve de encuentro presencial a las comunidades globales que construyen</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">día a día proyectos como Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikilibros,</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Wikcionario, entre otros. Desde el día 25 de Agosto funcionará además el</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">hacklab y se realizarán hacking days destinados a trabajar en la mejora</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">de las herramientas básicas de los proyectos, en particular el software</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">MediaWiki. </FONT></TT><BR>
<BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">Algunos de los ejes temáticos de este encuentro son:</FONT></TT><BR>

<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> * Comunidades de Wikimedia, resolución de conflictos, dinámica,</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> reputación, identidad, multilingüismo, lenguas y cultura. </FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> * Conocimiento libre, acceso abierto a información, formas de</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> construir y distribuir conocimiento libre, proyectos de</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> Wikimedia para educación, periodismo, investigación y formas de</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> mejorar la calidad y usabilidad del conocimiento libre. </FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> * Desafíos latinoamericanos, expansión de los proyectos en el</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> continente, promoción de los idiomas nativos de la región,</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> problemas específicos de las comunidades de habla hispana y</FONT></TT><BR>

<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> * Infraestructura técnica, incluyendo asuntos relacionados a</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a"> extensiones y desarrollo de MediaWiki, infraestructura e ideas</FONT></TT><BR>

<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">La coordinación general de la conferencia está a cargo del capítulo</FONT></TT><BR>
<TT><FONT COLOR="#1a1a1a">argentino de la Fundación Wikimedia, Wikimedia Argentina, con el apoyo</FONT></TT><BR>
