Dear friends,

in the list of APC i read, that now Guifi.net from Spain is member of 
the APC community. And we can read an interview with whom? I don't know.

We read:
"Guifi.net is, in the words of its members, a bottom-up, citizen-driven 
technological, social and economic project with the objective of 
creating a free, open and neutral telecommunications network."

Short later:
"Guifi.net: Internally, the most challenging issue has been to convince 
ISPs of the need to reinvest to make the ecosystem sustainable."

With private ISP's? Is that possible? With people, they only live from 
buying and selling transport capacity? I don't understand this nonsense.

But in her self-description, we read "citizen-driven technological .. 
project". And what technological activities we read in the interview? 
Nothing, absolutely nothing. Or they think, to act with the private 
ISP's and the private telecom companies it is a technological activity?

We know, we need our own technical infrastructures in our communities to 
create our free and open telecommunication in form of an InterNet, the 
Inter-connection of local Networks, a transport system for digital in 
packet form.

But for what Guifi.net works like all other big "Communinity Networks" 
in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia? Only as a consumer oriented 
organisation. Never we fill find a principal discussion about 
telecommunication. And never about, what is an InterNet. And never, what 
we have to create to organise an InterNet.

Maybe, for the APC Forum it is enough.

En la lista de APC que leí, que ahora Guifi.net de España es miembro de 
la comunidad de APC. ¿Y podemos leer una entrevista con quién? No lo sé.

Leemos:
"Guifi.net es, según palabras de sus miembros, un enfoque ascendente, 
orientado al ciudadano tecnológico, social y económico projecto, 
impulsado por los ciudadanos, con el objetivo de crear una red de 
telecomunicaciones libre, abierta y neutral."

Corto después:
"Guifi.net: Internamente, el desafío más importante ha sido convencer a 
los ISP de la necesidad de reinvertir para hacer sostenible el ecosistema".

¿Con los ISP privados? ¿Es eso posible? ¿Con las personas, sólo viven de 
la compra y venta de capacidad de transporte? No entiendo esta tontería.

Pero en su autodescripción, leemos "impulsado por el ciudadano
proyecto tecnológico". ¿Y qué actividades tecnológicas leemos en la 
entrevista? Nada, absolutamente nada. ¿O creen que actuar con las ISP 
privadas y las empresas privadas de telecomunicaciones es una actividad 
tecnológica?

Sabemos que necesitamos nuestras propias infraestructuras técnicas en 
nuestras comunidades para crear nuestras telecomunicaciones libres y 
abiertas en forma de una InterNet, la interconexión de redes locales, un 
sistema de transporte digital en forma de paquetes.

Pero ¿para qué funciona Guifi.net como todas las otras grandes redes de 
comunión en Europa, América Latina, África y Asia? Sólo como una 
organización orientada al consumidor. Nunca llenamos una discusión 
principal sobre telecomunicaciones. Y nunca, lo que es una Internet. Y 
nunca, lo que tenemos que crear para organizar una Internet.

Tal vez, para el Foro APC es suficiente.
