Yes, it seems that the current director of Libreboot project made some
claims without proof trying to accuse the FSF of firing a worker due to
his/her gender preferences.

However, the person that was fired explicitly told the FSF that their
identity must remain anonymous, however, these unproved claims from the
part of Libreboot director led to exposure of such person to the
public's attention. It was such a drawback that most people even
discussed the possibility (at the time) that FSF would lose the status
as charity organization, since in some jurisdictions, charities are
required to provide and follow safe-space policies for those
participating. Luckly, it seems that the issue is over now, as even the
Libreboot director apologizes for exposing his fellow collegue on
transgender preference, as can be seen in the official pages of the
Libreboot project.

However, this left some tracks that are yet to be cooled down:

- Any free/libre software activist that attempts to join the #libreboot
channel on chat.freenode.net will most likely get banned from there if
they mention support for FSF in this case. This forced people
supporting Libreboot and also wanting to be friendly towards this
issues, and also wanting to provide a friendlier space for new-commers
to make an unnofficial IRC channel called ##libreboot-support (with
two # signs) in the same IRC service provider.
- Many other tracks that I can't remember now, but which seem to affect
the relation between Libreboot, FSF, and Trisquel project (although
the project itself isn't guilty here, Libreboot director seems to be
  holding grudges against it).
